Sim-Lab P1X Pro Front Mount With a Moza R12: Fit Check

The questionWhere do these come from?

Moza Front mount solution Sim-Labs p1x proHello I have a Sim-Labs P1X pro sim rig, and a Moza R12 base. Currently its mounted on the wheeldeck but i dont like it. I want to use front mounting for it but the mounts from Sim-Labs dont support Moza it seems.

The Sim-Lab P1X Pro Front Mount doesn't list Moza among its bases, so an R12 needs Moza's own mount adapter and a hole-pattern check before you order.

The Sim-Lab P1X Pro Front Mount is the right bracket for a P1X Pro rig, but retailer listings of its supported bases do not include Moza. An R12 front mount therefore depends on a hole-pattern match you should confirm with Sim-Lab before ordering. If Sim-Lab can’t confirm it, the workable route is the P1X Pro mount’s base plate combined with Moza’s own Universal Base Mount Adapter (RS049), which Moza makes for the R9, R12, R16 and R21.

Nobody here has fitted these parts. This page rests on Sim-Lab’s product pages, retailer listings that copy their compatibility lists, and Moza’s adapter listing. No independent lab has measured any of it, and none of the sources consulted states R12 fitment outright.

What is actually documented

Verdict What decides it The catch
Sim-Lab P1X Pro Front Mount Consider Retail listings show it built around a 600 mm gap between the rig’s uprights and a list of named bases Moza is not on the listed bases (Lenze MCS12, MiGe 130ST, Simagic Alpha Mini and Ultimate, SimuCube 2 Sport, Pro and Ultimate, VRS DirectForce Pro)
Moza Universal Base Mount Adapter (RS049) Consider Made by Moza for R9, R12, R16 and R21 bases It is an adapter, not a rig bracket; it only helps if the Sim-Lab plate accepts its bolt pattern

The measurement that matters first

The P1X Pro mount needs 600 mm between the uprights, per its product listing. Measure the clear gap on your rig before anything else. If you have the standard P1X Pro frame this is the intended fit, but any modification or a non-standard upright spacing breaks it.

Second, the base side. Sim-Lab’s list names bases whose mounting patterns the bracket was designed for. A base missing from that list is not proven incompatible, but it is unproven. Compare the R12’s front-face mounting holes with the slots or holes on the Sim-Lab plate. Moza publishes the R12’s dimensions on its product pages. Only a match of bolt spacing and plate slot length answers the question.

If the plate does not take the R12 directly

Moza’s RS049 adapter exists so the R9/R12/R16/R21 family can be mounted on rigs designed around other bases. The route is: fix the RS049 to the R12 per Moza’s instructions, then bolt the RS049 to the rig bracket. Whether the RS049’s pattern lands on the Sim-Lab plate’s slots is the unresolved point. Treat it as unverified until Sim-Lab or an R12 owner on a P1X Pro confirms it.

What to check on arrival, before tightening anything

If you order the bracket and the adapter together, lay the parts on a bench before touching the rig. Hold the R12 against the Sim-Lab plate and see whether any of its threaded holes fall within the plate’s slots. Then repeat with the RS049 fitted. Check bolt length too: a bolt that is too short for the combined thickness of plate and adapter will thread only a few turns, and one that is too long can bottom out against the base housing. Use the hardware that ships with each part rather than substituting from a spare box.

Direct-drive bases put real torque through the front mount, so a bracket that only partly engages is not an acceptable fit. If anything needs forcing, stop and return the parts. Keep packaging until the combination is confirmed to work.

Why the older bracket set is the wrong buy

Skip the older Sim-Lab front mounting bracket set for the P1-X. Its listings describe it for SimuCube 2 Sport and Pro, and it was not offered for GT1 EVO, TR1 or GT2 installations. It has been superseded by the P1X Pro Front Mount, and stock appears to be thin.

When to stop guessing and ask

If the pattern check is ambiguous, email Sim-Lab support with the base model (Moza R12) and rig model (P1X Pro) and ask for written confirmation. That’s the only answer that settles it. A wrong guess costs a return on a heavy metal bracket.
