Mova E50 Pro Ultra or Xiaomi H50 Pro?

Choose the Mova E50 Pro Ultra unless keeping the vacuum inside Xiaomi Home is non-negotiable. Its stronger mopping system, larger tanks and more capable self-cleaning dock outweigh the inconvenience of installing a separate app.

The Xiaomi H50 Pro remains the better fit for a narrow set of homes: those prioritizing one-app Xiaomi control, a smaller dock, lower furniture clearance or an included anti-tangle brush. Neither model is a universal skip; the decision is cleaning and dock performance versus ecosystem convenience.

Why the Mova wins on cleaning

Do not treat Mova’s advertised 30,000Pa as proof that it cleans exactly twice as well as Xiaomi’s 15,000Pa H50 Pro. Suction ratings from different manufacturers are not controlled, directly comparable measurements. Independent pickup tests are much more useful.

TestsiegerTV put 50g of rice and oats on its standard test carpet, then measured the material collected by the E50 Pro Ultra. The Mova recovered 49.66g, or 99.32%. In the same review, it removed roughly 95% of dried coffee and ketchup after three passes and cleared the remaining residue on the fourth. Computer Bild used a different protocol for the Xiaomi, so its numbers should not be compared as though this were a head-to-head laboratory test. The H50 Pro collected 93.9g from a 100g debris test, but it left five of 20 peas in the corner test and produced visible streaks on sensitive flooring. Its navigation, general vacuuming and carpet detection were nevertheless judged reliable. Computer Bild’s H50 Pro test documents the measurements and mopping limitation.

The independent findings line up with the underlying mop hardware. Mova specifies 260RPM rotation and 12N of downward pressure, while Xiaomi specifies 180RPM. Mova’s dock washes the pads with water advertised at up to 100°C, uses 20 spray nozzles to rinse its washboard and dries the pads with 63°C air. Xiaomi documents high-speed rotary pad washing and a two-hour hot-air drying cycle, but makes no hot-water-washing claim. The Xiaomi H50 Pro gets the decision wrong for hard-floor homes that care most about stain removal and automated dock hygiene: its slower mop system produced visible streaks in independent testing, while the Mova’s hot-water dock removed the test residue from its pads.

Leaving Xiaomi Home is the actual switching cost

The E50 Pro Ultra is not another device for the Xiaomi Home dashboard. Mova’s documented control path is MOVAhome, which means another account, another app and a fresh set of maps, schedules and no-go zones. Historical business relationships between smart-home manufacturers do not change that compatibility fact.

The separate app is not stripped down. Mova documents room selection, adjustable suction and water flow, schedules, map editing, no-go zones, consumable tracking and firmware updates in MOVAhome. An independent reviewer also found the interface clearly organized and confirmed room-specific cleaning settings, virtual walls and adjustable dock behavior. The official MOVAhome listing describes its controls, and the TestsiegerTV review demonstrates those functions on the E50 Pro Ultra.

The H50 Pro, meanwhile, is added through the familiar plus button in Xiaomi Home. Xiaomi’s support documentation confirms map lists, scheduled cleaning, carpet preferences and remote control, although the vacuum supports only 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Xiaomi’s model-specific H50 Pro FAQ gives the setup path and Wi-Fi requirement.

Choose the Xiaomi if opening a second app would undermine the routines that make the robot useful. If the vacuum normally runs from its own schedule and you rarely open its controls, preserving the Xiaomi dashboard is a weak reason to accept the cleaning compromises.

Corners, hair and furniture can reverse the verdict

The Mova extends its right mop pad along walls, but its side brush does not extend into corners. TestsiegerTV found that it retrieved only a small portion of the oats placed in a corner. The same test found that all distributed hair was collected, but substantial hair wrapped around the standard main roller; the specialized CleanChop or TriCut anti-tangle roller is optional rather than included.

Xiaomi includes an anti-tangle main-brush design and an extending side brush. That makes the H50 Pro the more complete out-of-box configuration for long hair and corner debris, even though Computer Bild’s five missed peas show that its extending brush does not make corner pickup perfect. Physical clearance produces two more concrete exceptions:

• The Xiaomi robot is 93mm tall; the Mova is 97mm. With a measured furniture opening around 94–96mm, only the Xiaomi fits on paper, and several millimetres of safety margin are still sensible.

• Xiaomi’s dock is 320 × 411 × 495mm, whereas Mova’s is 340 × 480 × 496.5mm. The Mova needs 69mm more depth. Xiaomi is the practical choice where the station must fit in a shallow recess. Xiaomi’s specification sheet supplies the H50 Pro dimensions.

Both have a nominal 5,200mAh battery, so battery capacity does not distinguish them. Their mop lift differs by only half a millimetre—10.5mm for Mova and 10mm for Xiaomi. Xiaomi recommends making carpets thicker than 8mm, long-pile rugs and fringed rugs avoidance zones; the same cautious approach is appropriate with the Mova because it cannot leave its wet pads at the dock.

Neither model has two years of reliability evidence

No credible source can yet demonstrate two-year durability for either model. The H50 Pro’s independent test appeared in May 2026 and the detailed E50 Pro Ultra test followed later in 2026, making both models too new for a meaningful two-year failure record.

Short testing does provide limited operational evidence. TestsiegerTV reported reliable Mova navigation during its test period, apart from one occasion when a mop pad snagged on a toy, detached and ended the run. Its structured-light system scored 6.5 out of 10 in the reviewer’s obstacle course: larger objects were handled well, but it moved small toys and a charging cable. Computer Bild similarly found the Xiaomi reliable at navigation but watched it push shoes and a simulated pet accident.

Consequently, neither model is the right unattended cleaner for floors routinely covered with cables, small toys or pet waste. Pick up those objects before scheduled runs; the absence of an RGB recognition camera limits both robots’ ability to identify small, low obstacles.

A longer warranty transfers some failure risk, but it does not prove better construction. Mova’s current US policy covers a robot vacuum’s main unit and motor for three years, but the battery for only one year, and it expressly limits coverage to US purchases and service. Xiaomi’s Malaysia policy lists one year for robot-vacuum main parts and six months for accessories, again with country-specific restrictions. Before treating warranty length as the deciding reliability evidence, confirm that the exact seller is authorized, that service is available in your country and that the invoice names the correct regional model. Also check local availability of dust bags, filters, mop pads, side brushes and the Mova anti-tangle roller. An imported unit with an unusable warranty is a worse two-year bet than a locally supported machine with a shorter written term.

The conditions that make each one right

Buy the Mova E50 Pro Ultra when mopping, carpet pickup, larger water tanks and reduced dock cleaning matter most. Its independent results establish that the specifications translate into strong immediate cleaning performance, although they cannot establish long-term durability.

Consider the Xiaomi H50 Pro when a single Xiaomi Home dashboard is central to the setup, the dock must fit within 411mm of depth, furniture clearance is under 97mm, or long-hair control needs to work without buying another roller. Those are real advantages, but they are narrower than the overall cleaning question.
