Eufy C10 Auto-Empty: Fits Under a 3.75-Inch Bed?

The question this answersWhere do these come from?

Looking for a simple robo vac that can fit under my 3.75” raised bed and has decent navigation. Only for cleaning dog ha

Yes: the Eufy C10 robot is 72 mm (about 2.83 in) tall, clearing a 3.75-inch gap by roughly an inch, with LiDAR navigation.

The Eufy C10 Auto-Empty is a good fit for a bed with 3.75 inches of clearance. Eufy’s own support page gives the robot as 325.3 × 323 × 72 mm, which is about 2.83 inches. That leaves roughly 0.9 inch of margin. It also has LiDAR navigation, so it maps and cleans in lines instead of bouncing around. Skip it only if the bed is not truly 3.75 inches clear at the lowest point, or if you need obstacle avoidance.

The clearance numbers

Retailer and review listings round the C10 height to 2.85 inches. That is the same 72 mm figure rounded up. The numbers that matter are these:

Robot height Navigation Dock
Eufy C10 Auto-Empty 72 mm (about 2.83 in) iPath LiDAR 3 L bag, about 60 days
Eufy RoboVac 11S MAX 2.85 in Bump-and-turn, no LiDAR None

Only the robot has to fit under the bed. The dock is 211.8 mm (about 8.3 inches) tall and sits against a wall in the open, so it does not need to clear the frame. Eufy’s note on the dock says to keep it out of wardrobes because moisture can make them damp.

Measure the gap the robot actually sees

A 3.75-inch headline gap is not always the usable gap. Check these before relying on the 0.9-inch margin:

  • The lowest point. Measure to the lowest slat, crossbar, storage-box lip or bed-skirt hem, not to the frame edge.
  • Thick rugs. A deep-pile rug can eat 0.5 inch or more of clearance. Measure from the rug surface if the bed stands on one.
  • Dropping hems. Fabric bed skirts hang into the robot’s path and can snag it.
  • Legs and feet. Brackets near the floor can be lower than the frame.

If the lowest point measures 3.5 inches or less, the margin shrinks to about 0.7 inch, which is still workable. Below roughly 3 inches the C10 is marginal, because the 72 mm body would leave very little room.

Navigation: what “decent” means here

RoboVacGuide describes the C10 as using iPath LiDAR, a single-point laser. That is enough for room mapping and straight-line coverage. The same review says the C10 has no obstacle avoidance: it “bumps into objects on the floor”. For a bedroom this means:

  • Pick up charging cables, socks and loose dog toys before each run.
  • Expect it to nudge chair legs and furniture rather than steering around them.
  • It does not mop. It is vacuum-only.

For short dog hair and light messes, RoboVacGuide’s testing recorded a 100% pet-hair pickup rate on carpet. Suction is 4,000 Pa and the review lists noise at about 51 dB. It is one reviewer’s result, and no independent lab figure was found, so treat it as an indication rather than a guarantee. Long hair wraps around brush rolls on any robot, and this one is not an exception.

Why the auto-empty dock matters for dog hair

Short dog hair fills a small onboard bin fast. The C10’s 3 L dock bag, rated at about 60 days, means you handle hair about every two months instead of after every run. That is the real feature to pay for here. The cheaper 11S MAX has no dock, and you would empty its bin by hand.

Where the 11S MAX makes sense, and where it does not

The 11S MAX has the same listed 2.85-inch height. Eufy’s product page confirms the figure. It is a legitimate alternative if the budget is the main limit and the floors are mostly open, hard flooring.

It is the wrong choice for someone who wants “decent navigation”. It has no LiDAR, so it covers a room less methodically, and no dock. Choose it only if you accept both trade-offs.

What to skip

Do not assume that a premium robot is better for a low bed. Many mapping robots with a raised LiDAR turret are taller than 72 mm, and a bed that tight can leave them stuck at the frame. Check the stated height of any rival against your measured gap before paying for obstacle-avoiding cameras you will not use at this clearance.

Limits of this answer

No independent lab figure was found for the C10 in this research, so the height comes from the manufacturer and the pickup result from a single review site. If your bed measures within about half an inch of 3.75 inches, confirm the gap with a tape measure at the lowest point rather than trusting the arithmetic. If the robot still wedges, that is a return rather than a setting to change.

eufy C10 Robot Vacuum Self Emptying, 8 Weeks Hands Free, Advanced Smart Mapping with LiDAR Navigation, 2.85-Inch Slim Design, Powerful Suction, Edge Expansion Brush for Pet Hair (Renewed Acceptable)

    eufy

Eufy's support page lists the robot at 325.3 x 323 x 72 mm, so it clears a 3.75-inch gap by about 0.9 inch, and it has LiDAR navigation plus a 3 L self-empty dock.

The subject of the question: a vacuum-only robot with iPath LiDAR, 4,000 Pa suction and an auto-empty dock. Drawback: no obstacle avoidance and no mopping, so cables and socks must be cleared first.

    eufy

It is listed at 2.85 in tall, the same clearance as the C10, but it is a basic bump-and-turn robot with no self-empty dock.

A cheaper alternative to the C10 for the same under-bed clearance. It gives up the LiDAR mapping and the auto-empty dock, so choose it only if you do not mind emptying a small bin often and accept less systematic coverage.
