That result supports a practical recommendation: the Prime makes sense for demanding 1440p gaming, while 4K requires a willingness to adjust settings in heavier games. It does not promise a particular refresh rate across an entire library. A benchmark average also cannot guarantee that every demanding scene stays above your preferred minimum.
The OC suffix should have little influence on this decision. ASUS lists a default boost ceiling of 3010 MHz and a GPU Tweak III OC-mode ceiling of 3030 MHz. These are different workloads and test environments. They cannot be combined into a controlled noise ranking. Neither account provides a directly comparable sound-pressure measurement here, so a claim that every Prime is either silent or excessively loud would exceed the evidence.
The useful detail is in ASUS’s Dual BIOS description: Quiet mode retains the same power target and top-end settings while using a less aggressive fan curve.
