The dimensions say yes—but only just
The WALLMOUNT6 specification sheet identifies the exact rack as a 6U, two-post, open-frame bracket measuring 19.6 inches wide, 13.8 inches deep, and 10.7 inches high. Its equipment-load limit is 44.1 pounds.
Here is what must fit inside it:
- The UCG-Fiber measures 212.8 × 127.6 × 30 mm, or 8.4 × 5 × 1.2 inches.
- The USW-Enterprise-8-PoE measures 200 × 248 × 44 mm, or 7.9 × 9.8 × 1.7 inches.
- The USW-Flex-2.5G-8-PoE measures 212.9 × 99.4 × 33.5 mm, or 8.4 × 3.9 × 1.3 inches.
The useful layout is one shelf for the Enterprise 8, one shared shelf for the UCG-Fiber and Flex 2.5G PoE, and one shelf for the external adapters.
The shared-device shelf is the close call. The UCG-Fiber and Flex switch are 425.7 mm wide together. The CABSHELFV1U shelf provides 435 mm of internal width, leaving only 9.3 mm—0.37 inch—of total lateral clearance. They fit according to the published dimensions, but there is almost no freedom to add side brackets or bulky retainers. Face both devices’ network connections outward and use thin hook-and-loop straps through the shelf vents without covering ventilation openings.
The Enterprise 8 is also almost exactly as deep as the shelf: 248 mm on a 250 mm tray. Its chassis nevertheless remains well inside the rack’s 350 mm overall depth, leaving approximately 102 mm between the back of the chassis and the wall when its front is aligned with the rack. That is the space needed for the IEC power connector and cable bend.
Ubiquiti lists a supported rack depth of 400–1200 mm for the Enterprise 8, which exceeds the WALLMOUNT6’s 350 mm maximum. Do not assume its formal rack-mount arrangement is compatible with this bracket; supporting the compact chassis on the cantilever shelf is what makes the shallow rack viable.

The known suspended load is about 26.5 pounds: three 4-pound shelves, the 5.3-pound Enterprise switch, approximately 1.6 pounds for a UCG-Fiber with SSD, the 1.25-pound Flex switch, the 2.6-pound 210W adapter, and a 3.7-pound PDU. That leaves roughly 17.6 pounds of the rack’s 44.1-pound rating for the UCG adapter and cabling. The wall and fasteners still need to carry the rack itself in addition to that equipment load, so mount it to appropriate studs or masonry rather than treating the included general-purpose anchors as suitable for every wall.
Adding one-cord power distribution
For North American installations, the StarTech 1315B8H-RACK-PDU is the cleaner power-distribution option. It occupies 1U, has twelve rear-facing NEMA 5-15 outlets plus one front outlet, and terminates in one eight-foot mains cable. Rear outlets keep the Enterprise switch and both adapters from sending power leads across the front of the rack.
Its electrical capacity is ample. At the manufacturers’ maximums, the three-device envelope is approximately 419.4W: 150W for the Enterprise 8 including PoE output, 210W for the Flex including PoE output, and 59.4W available from the UCG-Fiber’s 54V/1.1A adapter. The PDU is rated for 15A, with a 12A North American regulatory derating; at 120V that derated figure is 1,440W. Normal consumption without heavily loaded PoE ports should be much lower, but circuit planning should use the connected equipment’s possible load rather than idle consumption.
The PDU has a resettable circuit breaker, but its data sheet does not claim surge suppression or battery backup. If either is required, add separately rated protection appropriate to the region. Do not assume a shallow rack UPS will fit: UPS depth, battery weight, watt rating, and runtime all require a separate calculation, and a unit capable of covering the full 419.4W envelope can erase the WALLMOUNT6’s remaining depth and weight margins.
Which StarTech 6U rack to avoid
Skip the StarTech RK619WALLOH for this compact three-device installation. Its official dimensions are 23.7 inches deep, 21.9 inches wide, and 40.2 pounds before any equipment is added—substantially bulkier than the 13.8-inch-deep, 10.5-pound WALLMOUNT6.
The RK619WALLOH is appropriate when a future server, deep UPS, sliding equipment, or four-post mounting justifies its 19.8-inch mounting depth and 109.7-pound capacity. For three desktop-form UniFi devices on cantilever shelves, that extra structure solves a problem the installation does not have.
None of the WALLMOUNT6, CABSHELFV1U, or regional PDU deserves a general warning: all three are sound for their stated roles. The deciding limitation is space, not basic compatibility—the 6U build works, but it leaves effectively no expansion room once the adapters are mounted safely.
